The Investment Studies Center (ISC), the training arm of Union of Investment Companies (UIC) held a training program on “Cash Flow Analysis”, on 23rd April 2024, at UIC premises.
Mrs. Fadwa Darwish – UIC Secretary General, stated that the training program came within the plan of ISC to spread awareness and knowledge and contribute to developing the professional level of employees in the investment and financial services sector in line with developments in global markets, as she stressed that ISC pays great attention when preparing its training programs to design them carefully in accordance with best practices and by following the latest training methods to achieve the desired goals of providing cadres working in various sectors with the necessary skills and tools to perform their job tasks successfully, which contributes to increasing the productivity of companies and institutions and achieving their goals in order to contribute to the interest of the national economy.
This training program that was presented by Mr. Akram Hammoudeh, an expert in the field of investment, corporate finance and banking, aimed to enrich the participants’ information on both theoretical and practical levels. The program covered several axes. The first axis included a comprehensive understanding of cash flow analysis, while the second axis dealt with an explanation of the circle of cash flow in different industries. The third axis focused on clarifying how cash flow is used in liquidity management, while the last axis touched on cash flow to banks, investors, and customers.
During the training program, participants were also briefed on the most common mistakes in cash flow management and how to avoid them. Through the case studies that were dealt with during the program, the program focused on practical cases of Kuwaiti companies listed on the stock exchange and international technology companies, in addition to knowing how to predict the occurrence of a crisis or problems in cash flow in order to avoid it in advance, and the participants’ inquiries and questions were answered to ensure that they obtain Maximum benefit from this training experience.
