The Investment Studies Center (ISC), the training arm of Union of Investment Companies (UIC) held a training program on "Real Estate Valuation Methods & Techniques Used by Expert", on 15th & 16th May 2024 UIC premises., with the aim of providing trainees with the knowledge and skills necessary for an accurate evaluation of various types of real estate, as the real estate evaluation process is gaining increasing importance due to the diversity of the characteristics of residential and commercial properties, lands and real estate investment companies. An accurate real estate evaluation ensures that sound investment decisions are made, whether you are thinking about buying or selling a property or investing in the shares of a company listed in the field of real estate investment.
The program worked on refining the trainees’ skills in the areas of evaluating real estate of various types, including income-generating real estate, commercial real estate, lands, real estate investment funds, listed and unlisted real estate investment companies, basic analysis of real estate companies and comparison between them and development and construction companies, and the use of different real estate evaluation methods such as value authoritarianism, abstract net value, and cost, specifying when and how to use each method, and also analyzing the factors affecting real estate evaluation such as growth rate, inflation, market value, discount rate, risk premium, and others. It also aims to make informed investment decisions based on a careful analysis of markets and real estate.
This training program also targeted specialists in the field of real estate, including real estate appraisers, analysts, financial managers, investors, project managers, and real estate consultants. Through the program, trainees were able to acquire knowledge of the latest real estate valuation methods and develop valuable skills such as: fundamental analysis and risk assessment. , building financial models, research, and negotiation skills.
