Investment Studies Center (ISC), the training arm of Union of Investment Companies (UIC), organized a specialized training program on “Application & Cloud Security” during the period 02nd – 04th June 2024, at UIC premises, and the program was qualified by Mr. Ala’a Hijazi, a cybersecurity engineer and expert in information technology and services. He holds a master’s degree in cybersecurity. The program attracted representatives of IT departments from a number of investment companies, including specialists in application management, technical support, oversight management, and information security.
In this occasion, UIC emphasized striving to keep up with keenness to excel in the field of information technology, due to its direct impact on the business environment, as digital and cloud storage solutions have become among the most important security factors that work to innovate and sustain any company, and therefore investing in training employees in this field is considered a necessity to ensure protection of consumer data, confidence among customers and partners in the company’s performance and handling of their information securely.
Therefore, this program was prepared within the plan of ISC for this year, to support investment companies and reinforce their potentials in the field of IT, as it shed light on the security of applications and flexibility in the digital world, and included many topics, where it emphasized a comprehensive understanding of the basic principles of security of applications and cloud storage, working to provide participants with the necessary skills in identifying common security objectives and modern threats in digital work environments, in addition to effective practical knowledge of securing applications and data on cloud platforms, in order to enhance participants’ awareness of participants and enable them to proactively manage everyone within them; by exploring multiple methodologies for strengthening and enhancing security applications and cloud information architecture against cyber threats. Participants gained valuable insights and learned business methods for dealing with the risks of digital security challenges, and how to protect the digital assets of their organizations effectively.
The program also focused on identifying the largest possible number of security measures, web applications and risks related to cloud storage, in accordance with OWASP, while partially providing recommendations and preventive measures to mitigate these multiple threats.
Participants praised the quality of the training program and its valuable content, and expressed their appreciation for the information and the skills they acquired during the training period about the latest techniques and solutions in the field of information technology, including enhancing their professional capabilities, and enhancing their ability to effectively edit the operations in their companies and raise its efficiency.
