Through its training arm the Investment Studies Center (ISC), Union of Investment Companies (UIC) recently hosted a thought-provoking workshop centered on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the investment sector, which was held on 07th December 2023 at UIC premises, featured a keynote address by renowned CSR expert Saud Al Rukhayes, who shared insights on the fundamentals of CSR, key aspects of successful initiatives, evaluation strategies, and the impact of such initiatives on consumer behavior. engaged the audience with a comprehensive discussion on the importance of CSR in the investment sector. Topics covered during his address included:
• An exploration of what CSR entails and its significance in today's business landscape.
• Insights into the elements that contribute to the success of CSR programs within the investment sector.
• Practical methods for assessing the effectiveness and impact of CSR initiatives.
• Strategies for leveraging CSR to positively influence consumer attitudes and behaviors.
The workshop also provided a platform for UIC members to share their experiences and best achievements in the realm of CSR. Attendees gained valuable insights from real-world examples, discovering how investment companies have successfully implemented CSR initiatives and made a positive impact on both the community and their business.

. Additionally, as part of a CSR initiative, Hamad Burahamah, the PR and Marketing person in the Union of Investment Companies, distributed seeds in a jar during the event. The seeds were intended to be planted on the attendees' next trip to the desert, encouraging them to always leave the environment better than they found it.
